Dar Al Sharq Group to hold ‘Kids Expo’ in Nov 2024

Doha, Qatar: Dar Al Sharq Group, represented by Al Sharq Media Management, will organise an specialised exhibition, “Kids Expo 2024", in November 2024.

 

The four-day event, a first-of-its-kind in Qatar, will take place from November 20 to 23, 2024, and it will be held in a 7,000 sqm area at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

 

Kids Expo is a specialised exhibition which will showcase all that a child needs from the cradle to the age of 13 years under one roof including education, health, culture and entertainment.

 

The exhibition will witness active participation of various ministries, authorities and specialised companies concerned with children’s well-being.

 

The event was recently announced at a ceremony held at the headquarters of Dar Al Sharq during which an agreement was signed between Dar Al Sharq and DECC & Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC) to facilitate the organization of the exhibition.

 

CEO of Dar Al Sharq Group, Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Mahmoud, and Acting Chief Executive Officer of DECC & QBEC Michael Michael signed the agreement.

 

The signing ceremony was also attended by Acting Head of Sales of DECC and QBEC Alexios Zeliotis.

 

CEO of Dar Al Sharq Group Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Mahmoud said that Kids Expo comes as a continuation of the efforts made by Qatar in caring for children and families, promoting their rights and needs, and providing the ideal environment for their upbringing and empowerment, as they are one of the most important pillars of sustainable development and the ambitious vision of the state.

 

“The exhibition themed ‘Our Children Are the Greatest Treasure’ reflects our commitment to our values and our media mission, and the embodiment of these values in our endeavors to support the development process in Qatar,” said Al Mahmoud.

 

He said that Dar Al Sharq, as a leading media institution is supporting such events that aim to build a better society, and most importantly, add to the several successes recorded by Qatar. He noted that this event provides unique opportunity for communication and cooperation between all local and international bodies concerned with children and family affairs in various fields.

 

“It strives to put forward innovative ideas and provide all the support and opportunities that guarantee the child an educational, recreational and healthy environment and a future vision for his growth, through an interactive exhibition that allows visitors and participants to obtain the highest desired benefit in favour of achieving a promising future for our children, who are the pillars of nation,” said Al Mahmoud.

 

He said that Dar Al Sharq has an extensive portfolio in organizing important exhibitions and conferences, including the Civil Defence Exhibition, the Medical and Traffic Safety Conference in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Interior, the exhibition accompanying the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Workers’ Conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, the Social Responsibility Conference, and the Silk Road Exhibition in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and other purposeful activities.

 

“The exhibition, which will be held from November 20 to 23, 2024, targets all sectors related to children, most notably the health and education sector, the banking sector, the maternal and child needs sector, in addition to the culture and arts sector, and the games and entertainment sector,” said Al Mahmoud.

 

He said that Dar Al Sharq seeks to integrate its role with various entities to support the state’s plans, and to establish multiple partnerships to serve all sectors of society.

 

Executive Director of Al Sharq Media Management Eizeldin Abdelrahman said that the agreement is meant to facilitate exhibitors to book spaces in DECC for the ‘Kids Expo’ which will be held in November 2024.

“We have completed all licensing procedures required by the authorities concerned for holding the exhibition,” said Abdelrahman.

 

Acting Chief Executive Officer of DECC and QBEC Michael Michael said: “Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC) and Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) are delighted to announce that they will be hosting the Kids Expo 2024, a highly anticipated event in the field of child-centered activities.”

 

He said that the Expo is scheduled to take place from November 20 to 23rd, 2024, adding another important business event to the venue’s rapidly growing calendar.

 

“DECC has been at the forefront of hosting major events and prominent trade shows since it’s opening in October 2015 with the Civil Defence Exhibition which coincidentally was organized again by Al Sharq Media,” said Michael.

 

“We are very happy to sign a contract with Dar Al Sharq Group to host Kids Expo. DECC hosted its debut event about Civil Defence with Dar Al Sharq in 2015 to mark the opening of the venue.”

 

Michael said that the Group which organised the first event of DECC is fully capable to hold a fantastic event – ‘Kids Expo 2024’ successfully.

 

“From our side at DECC, we will provide all necessary services for the comfort of exhibitors and visitors to ensure a smooth operation,” said Michael.

 

He said that DECC which hosted around 300 events since its launch in 2015 enjoys great experience in holding all types of events and activities.

 

“A large number of exhibitors are expected to participate in the exhibition from key sectors like health, education, culture and entertainment,” said Executive Director of Al Sharq Media Management Eizeldin Abdelrahman.

 

He said that several educational and entertainment activities will also be held for children during the exhibition. “The exhibition is also an opportunity to showcase new technologies and programmes that meet the requirements of children in their early stages,” said Abdelrahman.
